MG & Roewe on China axe list
I've just been looking at the list of Chinese production cars facing the chop from the beginning of 2018 because of poor fuel efficiency/emissions, quite a lot of big names on there besides MG, Mercedes Benz,BMW, Chevrolet, Toyota etc.

That will have a huge knock-on effect on the rest of the world then, this and China refusing to take imported plastic waste. Britain is already in a right panic wondering what we are going to do with all our plastic waste, more price rises for us I can see...
As for Roewe, I wonder if the UK will ever get the Roewe or MG EV it would be good if we did. |

I would love to get my hand's on a Roewe, a left hand drive wouldn't bother me in the slightest

Hi, well it's interesting, BMW have a huge plant in the North in Shenyang and when I was working out there the Audi and Passat were getting popular and there is Buick, Import duty on luxury cars is very high. The pollution in China is horrendous for sure.
Just for interest, it's not that long ago China was receiving food aid and in Shanghai most factories had to close one day a week due to power shortages. Affluence comes at a price and the infrastructure often can't keep up. That being said 3/4 population can't afford a bike. Last edited by rustymotor; 13th January 2018 at 08:40.. |

I'd love to see the MG E-Motion EV in production it's a great looking car to carry the MG badge. They said production will start in 2020 so fingers crossed.

I'm only recycling cans, glass and cardboard now A few years ago a guy came around from the council, good morning sir, I'm here to discuss recycling, I said great which bit do you want to discuss, the plastic waste we are sending to China and Malaysia for land fill or what? he just walked off .. |

I'm not sure what it's made from but I'd want one, I read they aim to bring it in around the £30000 mark

Fantastic looking car.
Tremendous the way the steering wheel echoes the iconic Allegro
