Default wiring of a self dimming mirror

A few years ago I needed help with wiring a self dimming mirror and got all the help I needed.
I have a similar problem but that thread did not real with as it was not required.

The self dimming mirror has 7 wires. I thought only 3 were used.
what do the 7 wires do?
Which 3 do I need to use?
Which wire is ignition live, reverse and neutral?

I have found a plug that fits but the colour code is very different and only has 5 wires

thank you

Magic, thank you. How do you and others remember such old threads?

The same questions crop up over the years, & having been here for a while, I bookmark all the important ones

I've managed to take a plug apart and move the wires to the correct position to marry up with the socket coming from the mirror. Took quite some time to work out how the plug came apart
I'll now add to my drawing which wires are which.

thank you for the help
