Now here this. Photobucket users.
Email from this image hosting organ today. Have any other folks had that email.
WE NOTICED THAT YOU HAVE BEEN USING PHOTOBUCKET FOR 3RD PARTY HOSTING* I thought that was the whole point of PB... Looks like non-trader users of PB like me will be staying away in droves from now on judging by the threads appearing on other car enthusiasts sites. Other image hosting sites are available. Of course, I have all the original images which can be uploaded on alternative sites. |

This is so frustrating.
I've no other reason to use Photobucket than to host photos primarily for this site. Boo. Hiss.

Stopped using photo bucket ages ago, takes to long to upload and down load to many adds on there, the way forward for now until this too gets messed up ?

The ads and popups made looking at some people's images unbearable for me, so much so, if I saw a photo bucket link, I didn't bother.
For some my images I use the attachment option, and then link to it instead. Is that a frowned upon option? Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk

Adverts on photobucket? Not if you use an adblocker!
I can never view photos on there because I block all the ads so the site doesn't work for me. Good riddance, IMO. Never used it, never liked it. The problem of using third party image hosting websites is that they can do whatever they want with your images, including delete them . . . Anyway, you don't need photobucket to host photos here. we each have our own photo galleries and one can upload photos as attachments in posts. Ali.

I too just use the attachments option ( the paperclip ) from the toolbar when I create a new post , and load the photofile from my hard-drive. Occasionally have to resize the image to stay within this site's size limits . No need for any hosting site ; don't understand why people are using them

Ive used Flickr since about 2004/2005 and have never had any issues with upload links, image sharing or anything else. Even all these years later it's still the best image sharing site, and 1TB of storage on free accounts it cant be beat

flickr for me too for my 'proper' pictures. I have put a few snaps through imgur recently. Either work well for embedding images to the forum. It's not immediately obvious how to size them with imgur but it is possible, where as with flickr you can chose several different sizes and link them straight in to a post.
