Cool

Not struck on the new design either. Let's have the old banner back please.

Thumbs down New Club Banner

Not for me either I'm afraid. It's too repetitive as has already been said, the old one has stood the test of time well and has plenty of live left in it. I agree that the club badge needs some serious revamp tho.

Banners are relatively easy to produce. It should project the business image, it should be clean cut, minimal, modern and to the point. A quick mock-up;

There is a down side. If the typeface or image is changed then this renders all the other products that are sitting in the club shop, out of date. So, its easy for us members to have our say but changing something like the banner, can have a negative knock on effect on other products.

I like that YF, straight to the point. Tells you what you need to know and simple and modern.

Nice one, Yella Fella - clean, simple and to the point.

Easy to criticise other people's work, and so I don't mean to be negative just for the sake of it, but I am not sure what the new banner is trying to say.

Visual identity and brand are important and should reflect what the club is all about, and the old version did that very well. In the new one the references to the brands we are supposed to stand for are all gone ie the Rover and MG logos and the '75' and 'ZT' in the same font as the car badges (although the '75' and 'ZT' might benefit from removal of the 'reflective' surface rendition in some application contexts. )

The Union Jack reflected the 'Britishness' of the original car brands, as well as enabling substitution for Scottish, Welsh and NI flags for those who felt that way patriotically inclined.

The complicated red background does not seem to have any conceptual link to anything (apart from 'driving off into the sunset'!) and won't reproduce well as a sticker. Nor in grey scale.

Sorry but that's my view, and trying to be constructive.

I do like the idea of somehow adding reference to the 10 years

I like fairly clean designs - red as a colour I like when it's simple.

Here's a de-cluttered version of the new logo - it's a little similar to contemporary MG...
