Check engine

I have the "check engine" warning light coming on intemitantly, the car seems to be running fine, i looked in the log book and it says this light only applies to the petrol engines, I have a diesel.

I have checked the enigine.....it's still there ! any advice ?

Examine the wiring where it enters the diesel fuel filter header. If it is tight, try easing some cable through and try to push each of the wires firmly into the connector.

That might clear it, especially if the engine seems to be running OK otherwise
