Bank account hacked.............
................................. by AWS EMEA subsidiary of Amazon. Something to do with “buying” extra storage space on my phone. Phoned my bank who have dealt with it swiftly. Alas they have stopped my debit card, New one on it’s way to me now.
I do not deal with Amazon as the last time my credit card got hacked via by them about 4 years ago. 0.52p twice was drawn from South America. The credit card company brought it to my attention. Blocked my card, and new one sent. I take as many precautions as possibly can by not letting my card out of my sight at all times. Just shows you how devious these people are.

Scammers everywhere
I have 2 current accounts with my bank, i keep no money in one of them and when i need to purchase something online then i transfer the exact money from my main account to the one that has a zero balance. That way if anyone scams or hacks my card details then there is nothing in there to take |

The latest one I have had is ''Facebook purchases''. The amounts are small like £1 £3 and they do several in quick succession then it goes quite. Each time I have had a full refund and the credit card company have even given me a new card with a new number but it keeps happening.
My guess they are hoping it goes unnoticed due to the small amounts so they get away with it. The annoying part for me is the 20 mins on the phone sorting it out. |

Yesterday my wife had a text "you have an unclaimed tax refund please contact our website" (https://tax.refund-acc.com). Obviously they would have asked her for bank details. I emailed [email protected] in hope they can close site down.

It's possible I am not alone in another 'possible' scam.
I cross at Dartford once a month and always buy the crossing the day before. The car I use (one is a drophead) depends on the weather so I state the regno at the time. As it happens my latest bank statement arrived shortly after and showed four crossings were debited over two days for the other car as well as two for the right one. Dartford were unable, or unwilling, to accede to being susceptible and refunded the full amount. They have millions of payments to account for and I suspect, despite having no grounds for doing so, an internal problem. Vigilance is essential.

Got a text from my bank...................
................................................. on Thursday telling me that my new card would be with me in the next 5 working days. It turned up this morning. The money taken from my account has now been reimbursed.
Happy with the outcome.

I'm surprised you have any money left for Dawn to hack. Oh! But I forgot you had that money tree off of me a while back.
