Default What have you spent on your ZT/75 this year?

So I got to thinking how much this love affair costs me and reckoned I ought to sit down and work it all out. I'd be really interested to see what other members needed as well, by way of comparison

In the year to date (Sept 18 (at 89K) to Aug 19 (94K)) I've spent:

Sep 2018 MOT £40
Sep 2018 Full service £260
Dec 2018 front tracking £25
Feb 2019 Heath-robinson DAB radio hook up via cassette adapter £160 including Pure DAB one pocket DAB radio
Mar 2019 pollen filter & fuel filter £50
Mar 2019 failed attempt to fix rear parking sensors £150 total
Apr 2019 new rear o/s door lock £20
Jun 2019 stupidity (pro correction of my awful attempts at scratch painting) and removal of long standing dent £540
Aug 2019 Repair of heavily corroded lower rear arms and 'Schutz' rust protection of rear end £691
Various times: Bulbs £20 total
Fuel: £840
insurance: £435
Road Tax: £280

washing & cleaning £60 materials + about 72 hours (at least)

sooo....
had to be done (repairs & servicing) £1256
Wanted to be done £240
Fixed costs (ins road tax) £715
Human elements (Stupidity) £540

Total ex fuel £2,751
Total in fuel £3,591

Oh dear.

How do YOU compare????

- Paul

Those totals would not even cover the year 1 depreciation of a new car!

For the CDT this year:
New windscreen £75
Interim service/MOT £130 labour + £45 consumable parts
Rear upper arms £165 labour + £235 parts
New clutch TBD labour + £170 parts (+£300 DMF & bolt set already purchased in case needed)
Shortly T4 session, brake fluid change & bleed on T4 probably around £50 + £15 for fluid
MAF £125 (+labour) already purchased (will be fitted as determined by T4 session)
Other consumables £50
Total best case £1150 or worst case £ 1590 depending on whether DMF & MAF is needed when inspected.

Plus two new tyres to be purchased, insurance, tax, fuel etc.

My maintnance/repair costs average out at £1k to £1.5k per annum over the long term for each of the different cars. This includes quite a lot of preventive maintennace.

Never thought to add it up, but looking at new/newer car prices, and consequent depreciation, I am quite happy to pay for my enjoyment.

For my Typhoon ZT:
Bosch Wipers, Crank pulley, water pump, thermostat, droplinks front and rear, tyres x2, 4 wheel alingment, rear ARB's, front discs and pads, clutch and slave cylinder, xenon level sensor. Plus an MOT and two services. Still....even at 149k she's in better condition than the Polo

For the Celestial ZT-T:
Naff all, its still parked where I left it until Ive got a replacement engine

For the Polo Bluemotion:
EGR valve complete replacement, custom remap to undo the shocking VW emissions 'fix' map (which im sure killed the EGR), in the last two years its had all four suspension struts replaced, brakes front and rear, four new tyres plus alignment, plus more recently its had to have a new clutch.
Its only on 93k too, while the build quality is pretty good on a 61 plate, the failing items leave much to be desired. I hate dubs as a rule but this does 90 miles to the gallon, and thats what its good at
