Default TOAF working

My OBD lead turned up on Friday morning, just hours before we departed for a couple of weeks, so I linked pins 7&8 and chucked in the boot along with copies of the TOAF files I had downloaded in anticipation of it arriving in time.

There wasn't much information available, that I could find about how to install or use it, plus a few seeming to have issues - so I was expecting to struggle, especially being away from home.

I finally got around to having a look at it with the lead today and it worked at the first attempt. I only wanted it for the portable diagnostics and it would seem to do all of that fine. It came up with zero engine ECU codes, but quite a few codes in other ECU's - all of which I managed to clear. It had even stored a code from 3 years ago, when my caravan's right rear indicator had failed due to a poor bulb connection.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

It's a handy bit of kit , especially for free I'm just beginning to find my way around it , but it has been very helpful so far , especially with ABS problems . I plan to take a backup of my BCU setup next , as I seem to scramble this every time I disconnect the battery

Well almost free, there is still the cost of the interface lead £2.57

but does much more than my £50 all in one diagnostics unit did, which just covered the engine ECU. Time for much more investigation of it, once we get home - I just wanted to see if it worked for now.
