No problem if it doesn't let us know & I'll get a key cut & posted out to you. If it does work it's a nice find & will help many a member out who find themselves in the same situation.

Any update on whether it fitted or not?

I have just noticed the locks (?) on these look almost identical to my work locker lock barrel. I forgot my key a couple of weeks ago, and being impatient (I could easily have waited until the next day lol) I opened up a heavy paperclip, folded it over and inserted the two legs into the lock. Wriggled it up and down, twisting slightly and the barrel came out. It allowed me to insert my car key into the mechanism and turn it, to open. (reinserted the barrel by using the key the next day)

Hi all - sorry for the delay. I was on holiday and have only now got round to getting the roof bars on the car!

The RONIS key from ebay fitted perfectly. The seller I used was: daviesd675 and the key was only £2.99 delivered! I notice he has put his prices up since then so if you need keys have a look around.

Summary: The official MG Rover roof bars use the RONIS key numbering system and are quite freely available on ebay which is good news for any future losses.

Thanks again to all the members who helped with this!
