Cool Oh! Hum!.....................

...........................................not quite going to plan. Suppose it could have been worse............

Steering checked and everything re-tightened.

Both hubs removed and new one's fitted.

11am and all finished and on my way home, except I did not get very far before a scraping noise could be heard and the ABS light flashed on and off. Stopped in a safe place, hazards on. One rear wheel was cold t'other was hot.

Back at the garage at a slow pace. Near side hub had failed. Now waiting for a replacement to be delivered.

And the steering has no clonking or clunking.

Still the coffee is nice.

Cool New Replacement hub...............

......................fitted and a lovely quiet drive home. Even the gods were in a good mood, sailed through the Dartford crossing.
No more clonking/clunking and no more rumbling from the rear bearing. Was nice to hear the radio for a change.

And Banana tripped over onto 187k.

Glad everything is sorted out now Bob. Mine has only done 93,000 and a clonking in the steering department. Decided to have a push pull at the wheels and think it is the rear wishbone bushes. I have decided to fit two new ones and wishbones while at it, along with shocks and top strut mounts. Wish me luck.
