Just bought back box for V6
Good quality with new strap and hangers. 45 minutes to remove the old one and fit new. 2 minor niggles to mention. The opening that fits the mid section needs to be opened a little so needs to be stretched by knocking a large socket into it to make it a fraction wider.
It's just a bit louder than the older one. Not an issue for me as I like the rumble of a V6. At £40 including post from Germany it represents good value. Will see how long it lasts. Link in next post.

The back box on my R75 2.0 v6 is rusted.
I was thinking about getting a new one too but i didnt want one which would silence the V6 . After reading your thread im thinking of buying this back box too. However is it easy to do myself? do i have to lift the car in order to get under there? Do you have any pictures? Last edited by Mertens34; 26th June 2017 at 14:59.. |

Jack it up at back same side as the back box. While I was under there I put a couple of penny washers on the heat shield above the exhaust. It was coming lose as it's now 13 years old and started to rattle a bit.

I've used these before for my neighbours 75 exhaust, 3 years on it's still perfect. I'll be ordering 1 for my 2.0 v6 before it's mot its due
