Best advice so far, can't stress it enough.
I was called for Jury service a couple of years back. Did 5 days, but for various reasons didn't get called, so spent the entire 5 days sitting in a waiting area. We weren't allowed to leave, as we could be called at a moments notice, so spent most of the time reading or chatting to other bored "jurors in waiting". Eventually go assigned to a case, but then some last minute plea bargaining held thing up yet again, so in the end we were all dismissed as they felt they had wasted enough of our time. Didn't end up out of pocket though, and although boring, it was nevertheless an interesting insight into the legal process. Cliff

I did it when I was about 19 I think? Really interesting, I loved it. I was paid by my employer and lunch was provided. 12 angry men lol. The verdict went the way the most forceful jurors suggested, which at the time was me, the wee guy was guilty as sin but there just wasn't enough evidence to roof it beyond all reasonable doubt. It wasn't a serious case, I don't think I'd like to sit on a rape, murder or child abuse case.......
