Central locking key fob

Hi…new to Rover 75 ownership and can’t seem to see an answer to this yet on the forum. Why do I need to press the unlock button on the key fob three times to unlock doors? First press seems to wake the car up, second press opens driver’s door and only on third press do passenger doors unlock. Is there a way of changing the settings?

Single point entry (one press to open drivers door, second press for rest) is a T4 option which I suspect might have been enabled on your car from what you've stated. If so it will require T4 to change it or it might be possible to change it with something like TOAF. Maybe someone reading the thread might be able to confirm.

Confirmed - Toaf can do all door open with one click too.

My car needs two presses of the button to unlock the doors. The first does just the driver's door and the second does the rest. I've had a previous 75 that required more than two presses because of sticky lock mechanisms.

Single point entry stops people yanking a passenger door open when you stop, but does have a tendency to have passengers yank a door handle before you pressed the second time to unlock the other doors.

Thank you all. Suspect it’s a combination of sticky locks and somebody changing the settings at some point because the headlights also stay on for 10 secs or so after locking up, which I believe is another programmable option. Think I’ll live with it.
