So, so sad and such a terrible loss. Even the forums will be that much poorer without Alfs contributions. My sincere condolences to all his family

Rest in peace Alf ..
Our thoughts go out to his wife and family.
I shall polish up Redfive and go to Poole on Monday to say farewell..

Ian

Well along with Dorset Bob,Jan and I went to Poole to say our farewells to Alf today..
A lovely service to celebrate his life with some laughter among the tears.
Alf's family are very aware of the special fondness that he had for his car and his faithful Rover 75 was parked outside the entrance to the chapel and on the back of the "Service of Celebration of his life" booklet was the photo of Alf beside his 75 with Zed the Ted in the basket of his mobility scooter..

Goodbye Alf, I shall remember you with a smile ..

Regards Ian

Ian, I'm so glad Bob, Jan and your goodself went to Alf's funeral.

Reading your post brought a tear to my eye just then. How lovely to have Alf's R75 parked outside the entrance to the Chapel, and what a lovely touch having a photo of him with Zed the Ted.

RIP Alf, you will be missed by many.

Thank you so much Ian et al for you attendance to the farewell to Alf, it pains me that I never got to shake hands with the man behind the username, although we shared many posts, pm's etc. It's getting harder to view the forum lately without reducing me to a slobbering, gibbering wreck lately. May I suggest a raised glass to all our dear departed this year, It's been quite emotional
