She didn't stall & the idle remained steady, if a little bit lumpy but I think that may be because she was stone cold.
Regarding the job itself, Steve mentioned how he did it but that some people actually remove the inlet manifold to access the bottom bolts. That just seems a whole lot of work for nothing to me. Following Steve's advice I had the valve replaced in twenty minutes like this:

Or you could use a long arm torx key like http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321353071398. I think screwfix have a similar kit at same price.

Yes you could. Anything other than removing the manifold.

Up till now, the car is still behaving much better with the new IACV. A little lumpiness at idle until you have a decent run under the wheels but much better than before.

Well actually, she did today. Seems to do it sometimes if you have to stop quickly when cold. I will see about that cam seal.

Ok, maybe the MAP sensor is dodgy? I would certainly check for oil leaks and fix them too. ( by cam seal, do you mean rocker cover seal?). Also try and check for any air leaks around the manifold.

Your continuing issues, means you need to look at the cam seal and check for an oily plug.
