Pearl Black paint assesment.
I shall be taking the Pearl Black Tourer, Derek Windrush's car, for an overall assessment of its paintwork, try and see if they can bring the paintwork back to its original lustre, don't get me wrong it looks good as it is but there are a lot of swirls and light scratches on the bonnet and roof, Yes I know if it goes ahead it will probably be more than half the car is worth, anyway we will see what the outcome will be. Proper paint correction will transform the car Julien, well worth it in my view. If you do go ahead and get it done, make sure you pop over to the Detailing World web site after to read up on best practice for washing and maintaining the finish.
One word of warning though - it can be very addictive! Cliff

Julian,
Shop around before you commit as there are many different professional detailers around offering various treatments. Personally I would look for a pro who will finish the car with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra ceramic coating; guaranteed finish for 9+ years with a hardness that will not get swirls or holograms unless you wash with grit!!. Waxing is also not required again just shampoo and dry off. Costs vary around the country but you'd be looking at approx £700. just a thought

BeauTecnique certainly have some good feedback so for paint correction and detailing they look very capable. However, if you went the whole hog and had a ceramic coating I would avoid their Williams F1 offering as it is guaranteed protection for only 12-15 months before refreshing (at a cost). Their Sonax treatment is a better option but also needs an annual top up. The Siramik Glass Coat is a top end product (thus probably the most expensive application they do) and gives 3+years durability before a maintenance coat, tho' still IMHO not as long lasting or as good as the Gtechniq product which is so hard it can only be removed by wet sanding. Ultimately mate its down to you and what your prepared to pay. Just be aware if any coatings offered require annual top-ups or refresher coatings - this will give an indication of durability and protection and further costs

Yes absolutely - it kinda unique but I also intend to add walnut vinyl wrap for the ultimate woody finish
