Well I think you've answered your own question with that photo it's got to be the big plate & I particularly like the black strip for the GB badge/flag very nice choice

There's a weird optical effect with the comparison picture

It's obviously the same photo duplicated side by side, but to me at least, it looks like the "two cars" are slightly angled away from each other at the front!

You're right, it does look weird - as if the cars are going in different directions. How does that come about I wonder?

Colour does effect the overall look. But for me, the big yellow smiley plate makes the car look much smaller when seen from the back?

So my vote goes to the standard, and smaller, type of number plate..

It's like one of those optical illusions puzzles where you have to say "which square is bigger" and they are both the same....

Spooky!

I think you've done the right thing... the rectangular one on my 75 used to annoy me every time I washed the car and I felt self-conscious when driving in the vicinity of another 75 who had a smiley... you know that feeling when you've got a great big spot on your face to hide...?! You can get away with it on the ZT's as you don't have the chrome shouting out "OI! THAT AIN'T QUITE RIGHT IS IT?!" but smiley edges it for me...

It's due to the white parking lines forcing the brain to thing the angles are different.

some people are more susceptible than others.

Plate's look good.... how are they held on the plastic bolt or sticky pad's????
and where do you get them must be a standard size ??
