Great day out with Trikey doing something out of the norm 'Urbexing' in Lincolnshire

Entrance to Skidbrooke church, where i got a funny feeling

Not sure what she is doing here...

Well, instead of doing the usual Christmas stuff, Deb and I headed out to Sleaford to have a look around the old Bass malting factory, unfortunately it was harder to get into than Dave lincs's wallet so we headed South West to RAF Folkingham.

Its a disused RAF base (It used to site thor ICBM's - At last I got to stand on a missile pad, what do ya think of that Kim Jon!!)

Its now in private hands and houses a load of old agricultural machinery, the light was rapidly fading and the wind turned bitingly cold, I could have spent hours here, the place is vast.

Built for the 1960 Rome Olympics, home to Italian rugby until the opening of the Stadio Olympico, its hosted concerts by U2, Michael Jackson and Pink Floyd.

Now abandoned and slowly decaying, there are plans to regenerate the stadium, these may not happen due to the foundations housing at least 50 tombs.

I couldn't resist a little peek inside, I didn't stay long due to cutting my hand while climbing the fence

And I didn't want to disturb the folk inside as the stadium is now home to a few Roma street people.
