Default Pony Express OFFER - across the Irish Sea from GB to Ireland

Hi all,
I shall be flying over to Newcastle at the beginning of May to pick up my new acquisition, a very nicely appointed 2002 Rover 75 Connoisseur SE in Wedgewood Blue. I'll post more details about the car later!

The reason for this thread is that suzublu has very kindly agreed to have the car kept on his drive for a few days until I make it over from Belfast. Once I've picked the car up, I'll be making my way back home, possibly detouring via the Lake District and then over to Stranraer and the ferry to Belfast. So if there are any members on my side of the Irish Sea who would like something put into the boot of my car and brought across, this is your chance!

If you can arrange to get your item(s) to suzublu in Hartlepool before Sunday May 3rd, I'll be able to bring it over for you at no charge. I could also pick something up if it's en route from Hartlepool to e.g. Keswick to Stranraer.

In terms of getting your item from me, Translink provide a sort of courier service so I don't mind putting a package on a bus or train to a stop near you so long as you're happy to pay the carriage - that should be a fair bit cheaper than the likes of Parcelforce, however I don't think it would work for something very bulky/heavy like a full set of wheels or a car seat! But I regularly travel from where I live in north Antrim to Antrim town and occasionally to Belfast, and I should also have a regular trip to Swatragh in Co Derry starting soon, so am happy to meet up if it's not too far away from a journey I'm already making.

Needless to say I would take proper care of your item, but ultimately this would be at your own risk. Anyway - if you'd like to make use of my boot, feel free to post on here or send me a PM.

That's a pity! Too soon for you or too late?

Just a reminder of this for anyone who missed it but might want to take advantage - I'll be travelling the first weekend in May, just over a week from now. Bulkier items such as seats, wheels, maybe even a bumper or two no problem so long as it will all fit into the boot/back seat or through the ski hatch - I'll be flying over on my own with just a small travelling bag, so the rest of the car will be free for filling up.
