Default Fan problem.

I have a problem with 2 fans that I have bought for my ZT's (there 2 speed ones).

One was from a diesel so should be a straight fit it has the old silver resistor which will be getting changed.
However I had the front off to fit I plugged it in to try but nothing no slow or fast speed? any ideas?

The 2nd one was from a petrol all wiring changed over new upgraded resistor fitted and no slow speed only high. Wiring copied from the 2 speed diesel fan.

My main concern is the 1st fan which won't run at all is there a way to test the fan off the car or what normally goes on the 2 speed (which I thought was reliable).

You will need to modify the wiring if you want to use 2 speed motors in their place. Jules has recently shown what needs to be done. If you search the forum you should find it. Look for Arctic's thread.

with regards to the diesel fan, check the b rushes, they are usually the culprit, worn out .They need replacing.
