And another little problem.
I have still not located the loss of water, However, another little problem has manifested itself.
Driving along at no particular speed or gear. But under slight acceleration, it is as though the engine gives a ginormous hickup and then carries on as normal. It does it at random times Anyone any suggestions, Ideas ??

Injector? Try a leakback test. Or could be a fuel pump going on the blink.

It is on the original under bonnet pump which has done 186k so it could well be. I imagined that it just stop working at some point. I do carry a spare so could just try and swap it to see if the hiccup continues John.

Could also be the crank sensor. A missed pulse from the sensor could give a loss of signal to the injectors leading to a split second loss of fuel. Hence the hiccup.
