What is on the card? is it just the maps or is the program and it's folders stored there too?

can I download the app from the play store and use the maps folder I bought last year?

It will be the program and the maps stored on the card.
However, you may find that the contents of your card are copied to the internal storage of the Star. You will have to take a look and see.
If so you should be able to copy it back to a new card and re install.

If not, IGO software does appear to be available on the Play Store so you should be able to download it from there and copy and paste your updated maps (presuming the download doesn't come with maps) into the map folder of the software/app.

thanks. I can't find IGo installed internally. It was on the card. The newly installed version from the play store just comes up as unlicensed.

I think the SD card came with the program and maps and license. How can I get a replacement card?

I'm stumped now.

Default Default media player app

What is the default media player app for these units? My son deleted it an installed his own and it won't interface with the right hand control knob that previously selected previous and next tracks.

I'd like to install the previous media player app as it was straight-forward and easy to use. Any ideas of the name and location for me to download?

I am reading the last rites to my Navall Star soon as it is giving up the ghost bit at a time:

Screen colours all out of kilter and most screens unreadable
Satnav stopped finding any satellites
Radio terrible reception
Has the ability to play sound from 2 different options at the same time
Reboots itself when it feels like it
Sound comes on extra loud when first switching on

Factory reset makes no difference, factory bin is what it needs

Otherwise ok as Basil Fawlty once said

You could (as a last resort) try to re-install the firmware if you have it. Re-installing did work wonders on my old NavAll1.

If that doesn't help, write its obituary and cremate the darn thing with the proper rituals.

Have a word with jubarelly about an Xtrons unit Rob.He fitted one for me about four months ago which has built in DAB+, and radio reception is perfect. As are all the other functions. It's a world apart from the early unit I had from Radioguy, which it replaced.

Hi Rob,

I'll see if I still have it on file somewhere.
I will let you know and email it over if I have got it.
