Default I Pad Air. Feeling quite chuffed

Both the missus and myself have an i Pad Air and use them regularly.
Unfortunately the three grandchildren like them as well and mine finished up getting the screen broken, on two separate occasions as it. Was only a simple crack for weeks.
Anyhow I decided to get it fixed and at first was going to send it away but then a local company could do it for £40 and in two hours.
Luckily I viewed a tutorial on “You Tube” which made it look easy.

I purchased two new screens for around £24 and today I successfully replaced my broken screen. Simples, plus I have a spare screen for next time the little treasures break one.

Well done, sounds like you have 2nd spare screen for 'next time'. Just as well, iPads are renowned for their fragility.

Tablet screens, they are not too bad to do , just seems a a bit daunting at first.

Did my grandsons 10 inch chinese tablet 2 times before he learnt to treat it properly

phones are a bit harder , only done one of them luckily .

For info, I used two Stanley knife blades to prize the old glass off.
They are very slim and with the extra width this spreads the load. After the screen was coming free I used plastic cards ( old caravan club ones) to place between the glass and the frame and I used the Missus’s new Dyson hairdryer I bought her for Christmas
With the heat applied it softens the glue on the sticky back tape.
