Very smart unit psmith, very smart indeed !!! Just done a quick search but cheapest I can find this is £330 + !!! Where did you manage to find one for £270.00 ?? I really like the look of this unit.

Quick question tho’, are these units tailored to specific vehicles as all the ones I can find say they are for particular cars ??

I bought mine from amazon. I also found this website selling them so if you shop around you can get it for a similar price.

I have taken some photos of how I attached the facia to the radio.
One other thing that must be done is to re-link the aerial amplifier power as the original radio supplied this through pin 16 of the original BMW radio connector (CO395 - Rave Manual). My setup originally was a Harmony setup so this may change slightly depending on which radio you originally had.
Pin 5 is the AUXILARY Live input and is fused at 5A from Fuse 11. In my installation I have linked pin 5 to pin 16. As it is protected by fuse 11 I didn't put an inline fuse in but you can if you wish.
I have also added a photo of the steering wheel control adapter showing where it connects.
In the rave CD the steering wheel control wiring diagram is shown in the "ROTARY COUPLER" section. The connection to the radio is then shown under the particular radio that was originally installed (in my case "HARMONY" section). You shouldn't need to go down to this detail though as the autoleads adaptor should just plug straight in.
