Many thanks for your kind words Roy, but no! Mate Jan & I did not venture in for an early morning dip,much too cold for us lol.

However when we got back to the car there was a rather pleasant young Lady getting prepared to go what I think is called 'wild swimming' Brrrr rather her than me, I'm rather more at home taking a few piccies.

Following on from above location, the magnificent Bassenthwaite Lake shines in all her Autumn glory as we head down a carpet of golden leaves on the narrow pathway leading down to the Lake.

Owing to large amounts of rainfall the water level is much higher in these views compared to views from the same location in p769 page 77 from 8th November, with some trees standing in water where normally the shore line is. 17th November 2023.

A return to the coast later the same day as above pic to capture a very atmospheric & ominous looking skyline,with the added lighting effects from the two outer Harbour recently renovated Light Houses Whitehaven. 29th November 2023.
