As usual the advise and views has been fantastic.
Hopefully on his return the job " will be a good un " Its not the difference in the shade of colour that bothers me. It just needs to be blended in better. I did go to an insurance approved bodywork shop today who are of a high quality and was quoted £250 which is quite alot more than the £100 i paid the mobile guy. All things said though the mobile chap seems really conscientious about his work and wants to get it all sorted out asap so you,ve got to give credit were its due.

I was a sales rep a few years back for car paints etc. I could go to a shed in the middle of nowhere that would do better work than the expensive main dealers with proper booths with air extraction.
I just got my wing and front bumper done ( Silver Gold) by a local guy for 170 euro and a top notch job done as well in his garage, no booth, and there is no dust or spec marks anywhere. Most do there work during the day then clean up, wet the floor to trap dust, spray, then go home. In my experience the older guys do a better job. Not just from experience but the fact that they take their time. Young guys just want the jobs in and out asap. You always hear " get that off the lift we need to get X up there " in these garages. |
