Default Sadly ... Bowing out...:(

Hiya. Like so many have said on here in the past... The 1.8 k is a very suspect and unreliable engine. Lots have said that I should have bought a diesel... Well, I had this beautiful car off my dad..... Unfortunately, it seems that sentiments should not get in the way of practicality... The current problem, whatever that is, shall be fixed tomorrow... Unless it is actually the H/G, then I shall let it go for what it is I shall have to look for another smaller car, Not relishing that one bit and I know that I shall never enjoy any car as much as I have my 75.

have to say get it fixed and hang on to it , your next car could be just as bad or worse .
as people have testified on here time and again if you get it fixed properly ( especially h/g ) they are reliable , mine was done and had no plroblems for two years until i sold it . i will have another k-series i don't see the problem especially after all the expensive problems i've had with my citroen ( which has gone as well).

Hi Poppy. Have to agree with Colin. Another car may be a hundred times worse. And maybe not.
But will the replacement give you as much joy or such a friendly forum to support it and you

Nah

Hope you manage to get it all sorted. Be a shame to see you let go of the 75.

Regards. Steve.

Hope u sort it out poppy, u enrich the forum, cars are a folly and cost much much more than they are worth but dont leave the forum!
If it helps, a Ford Fiesta TDCi will go forever on a thimble of juice and hardly ever go wrong but u wouldnt enjoy it!

i haven't read what your problems have been . sorry. bit behind the times having recently seperated (after15 years) and moved house. .
i still think you might be better off fixing the car.
i got rid of the 75 and definately wish i hadn't as 2 days later the citroen went badly wrong .bought a replacement for both cheap as a get by measure (currently an escort td!) and the exhaust fell of the aircon packed up and now the wheelbearings are rumbling!! only had it a month ,will be got shot of asap for another 75/zt .
it would have been better to keep the 75 i had at least it wasn't falling apart!!!
nevermind , we live and we learn!
the better the devil you know comes to mind!
