Default rear end knock

hi guys my connie has started to knock at the back when i put my foot on and off the gas any ideas thanks

I'd get the exhaust checked. It could be hitting the chassis cross braces. . Could be suspension as bob has suggested, or maybe lower engine mount gone.

Try "blipping" gas pedal, see if it feels like engine is moving in excess.
Reason I ask is that when my lower engine mount failed it rocked the engine so much that the rear exhaust box strap broke.
Check out what the op says though.

Agree It's the most common cause of clunks , especially if combined with a duff lower engine mount !
Do you get any noise when going over speed ramps ?

Check your exhaust heat shield midway along the car, mine was doing exactly the same but it sounded like it was coming from the back.
