Hi Phil. Ref the swelling,

You wont go far wrong if you use that as a progress guage. I. E. if you do too much you will get some extra swelling, if no swelling, then you didn't overdo things.

A little work, often, is best for now..

Thanks James, it's deceptive here as the sunshine and warmth gave me a mental boost, making me do lots more than I was able to do in London. Yesterday I swam 21 lengths, but today I will do 10 and no big walk. This morning on waking, the swelling has gone down.

The swimming is non weight bearing and seems to improve the color of the leg and helps me relax. The lengths are not long lengths, as they are like widths in a normal pool. What you said, makes sense
