Talking success, i can't believe it

hi all
some of you may have seen my thread I posted yesterday about the fuel gauge on my zt-t cdti,
anyway I followed your suggestions and I started to investigate why I wasn't getting a reading on my fuel gauge after putting £30 of fuel in, I did a ohms test at the pump end thanks to the diagram sent by French mike, so thank you French mike, any way I found I wasn't getting a reading from the pump side sender unit so I pulled out the pump and tested along the sender wires , no reading so must be at the sender end , in the end I found a dry soldered joint on the resister thing the float moves up and down on, out with the soldering iron and fixed the problem then put everything together and turned on the key and success it worked so I am well chuffed
regards to all
