Faint Whistling From An Engine Tube
I'll try to describe this as best I can. I just replaced the battery on my car, I say 'me', it was a friend, but I held the spanners. Anyway, he noticed a faint whistling sound that seems to be coming from one of the tubes that leads into a box at the top-centre of the engine. When he squeezed it the whistling stopped. He doesn't know what it is, and I sure as hell don't.
I don't open the bonnet very often so can't say I've ever noticed it. Is it normal? If not, what could it be? It's the tube immediately behind the yellow cap: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/08...de/bay18na.jpg (not my car, found on google and seems to be from this very website!) Any help would be much appreciated! |

Umm...
It's stopped now. It only seems to happen immediately after the ignition is turned off.
