I'm not a fan of the colour generally but l must admit that Starlight is a cut above your average silver. It even accentuates chrome.

Might be worth a visit to a body shop and get it professionally mopped buddy?

What are your thoughts.
People can give all the advice they want but without actually seeing the extent of the problem it's useless. Take it to a body shop or professional detailer so that they can see the damage and assess properly

I'm intereseted in this thread because my car exhibits similar symptoms although probably to a lesser degree. But if the paint is lacquered then am i right in thinking no amount of clay bar'ing will restore faded paint because the lacquer is pretecting it.

After having done up about 5 of these cars and re spayed , repaired panels etc
and peeling clear coat, if you wish to sort the peeling clearcoat you need to cut it back so you have an even surface.
I use 240 grit wet/ dry sandpaper .You need to cut back the areas peeling so anything loose is feathered back to the good surface using a flat sanding block.
If you have not blown through the primer back to metal you can spay the base coat colour down . If you've gone thought to metal you need to spray primer down then the base coat colour and blend it back into the original colour.7
Let it dry and then spray clear coat
