Took my ZT-T to ATS euromaster, had the air-conditioning recharged and the anti bacterial stuff, thanks Groupon, now lovely and cold (smells nice too)
Back home, changed the rear dampers, one was leaking, noted on MOT.
The leaky one was doing nothing! No resistance at all! no wonder it was skipping about over bumps. By the way, it was the one time I wished I'd got a saloon, there's a lot of trim to move to get at the top bolts.

My Year 2000 / W reg Cowley V6 Connie passed the MOT today with no advisories.

Just needed to clear the screen wash filter this morning.

Treating it to a service this week.

Congrats ... It's good to see another old timer make it for another year . They are becoming increasingly rare these days.

Default Mickyboy saves the day

Jumped into my Tourer, headed over to Wrekenton to collect my old ZT for a bit of TLC.

Spotted Keith driving his Atlantic Blue 1800T and gave him a toot with my super duper twin horns to wake him up.

Grabbed the keys for the ZT from Gav, transferred the gubbins from the boot of the 416, and headed homeward.

Leakback test revealed injector two producing 100ml of spill in 30 seconds running, so inlet manifold off, injector two removed, the seat cleaned out and a quick spin just in case any cack had fallen into the combustion chamber during removal of the injector.

Replacement injector from Mickyboy installed with a new sealing washer, and box everything back together.

Time from lifting the bonnet to closing it, including a quick T4 test was 45 minutes.

Love it when a plan comes together, instant start even when hot

Cheers Mick

The balance compensation figures on the original injector were superb, and once the car was running, it ran as sweet as a nut, however sometimes a physical test is required when T4 isn't able to identify the shortcoming

Robbed two valve caps off the tourer to fit to the cooper S before going to a local show today as I'd lost two somehow

The last sold ordered 75 Tourer. Paid for by the Phoenix Four and handed over by John Towers to the Warwickshire Northampton Air ambulance service as a Rapid Response vehicle

Good to hear mate,

Honestly I'm just pleased I was able to help you for a change

Took out the over mats, 3 cleaned up nicely with upholstery cleaner, driver's side still hanging out to dry, ended up soaking it and giving it a good scrubbing.
