I did try wd40 but it actually did nothing. I think I might give the grease a try before stripping anything. I have restored many bikes over the years, spannering is not a worry, just the poor access lol. I ain't as bendy as I used to be.
I drive mine with the kick panel removed as I found I was always catching my feet on it. (Big feet)

My previous ZT/ZTT did this... I have the grease if you want to pop over.. PM me. Its the pedal box that is the problem as it is prone to flexing due to it being plastic.

just to conclude!
I purchased some WD40 DRY LUBE and removed the panel under the steering wheel for a better view ( I don't have the kick panel in place) I sprayed all the moving parts of the clutch pedal but there was no change. I then had a good around under there and decided that all the pedals look to be mounted onto a black plastic board of some kind, I am probably wrong but that's what it looks like. I then sprayed the WD onto the steel bulkhead just above the plastic panel in the hope that it would run down behind the panel. Success! I am now guessing that the creaking was this plastic panel moving slightly when pressing the pedal and rubbing against the steel bulkhead. Anyway, I now have a silent clutch pedal. Thanks everyone.
