Testing of rail pressure is a reasonable thing to suggest, but I'm not convinced that is the OP's problem. I also don't know who fitted the parts last year, but if it were either Best of British Rover in Darlaston, or TS Autos in Stourbridge, neither of these people are clowns, and will have carried out the job correctly |

thanks for your comments Brian. it was a back street garage that did the work last year on the car. They only changed the fuel pump on the right hand side not the filter. After this the car ran fine this is a new problem so im hoping that the filter has came apart. I should be getting time to look at this over the next few days. Not sure what sort of a job it is to remove the filter. But if its not the problem i will be changing the wheels on to my other Rover and the towbar. Then get the private plate off and scrap the car.

Keep sorting it. For a fuel problem that is a very cheap option compared to scrapping.
Good luck. |

Has the car been on a T4 to see what fault codes are present?

Hi Dave no mate Its not been on a T4. But had my monies worth out the car in
the last three years. The clutch is high and the paint is flaking on the bonnet. So time to say good bye Plus i brought Our Charlotte a nice 2008 Peugeot 207 and ive got her old 106 as a spare car to run to work if needed. Then again Kez is moaning ive got six cars round me all on the road apart from the Dayvan. So If one goes she might not moan as much

faulty o2 sensor, probably the one in front of the cat converter.
Unplug it (plug near aircon pipe on firewall) It will revert to default fuel map and if it runs fine (as mine did then) problem solved. had exact same issue!! |
