Synergy 1 is the tuning box only. If you have a dodgy MAF then a MAFAM will be required. Alternatively, go for the Synergy 2 which incorporates both and a Pierburgh MAF (as I think most people do anyway) as the Bosch is obviously pants!!

Check Ron's pages for more detail.

Brian, it depends whether your current MAF is functioning correctly, is your low down power still good and has your fuel consumtion deteriated?

It's a straight swop. The only problem is getting the original security screws undone. I made a cut across mine with a hacksaw and used a flat bladed screwdriver.

Sounds like your MAF is not bad at all! I wasn't sure if mine was acting up or not but once the PB was fitted there was a noticable difference in low-end pick up. It's generally reckoned that the Bosch WILL deteriorate sooner or later though. Mostly sooner.

Long term Bri IMHO the Synergy 2 is the better bet, as in the End your MAF will need replacing,
so it gives you the Option of any MAF rather than you being tied to Bosch.
The Pierburg MAF is cheaper too.
