Good Morning Mike
That is the same day as the national meet
Although I'm not attending the national meet I am already committed that day..
To be honest it's hit and miss for me if I can attend any meets at the moment as we are making frequent journeys to Norfolk to visit our 3 month old grandson who has just had the first of several operations at Addenbrooks hospital..
Cheers Ian

Might I suggest Sunday Sept. 9th.. ?? at 12 noon; unless I hear thats unsuitable. Summer, short as it's been is fast closing upon Autumn , hence this quick arangement. *Note my avatar was photo'd at ... yes Poole Park. Come on all who attended the last local meet, time for another few `jars' and some good food in pleasant company. Mike.

Sounds good to me!
I was at the last one, thoroughly enjoyed it! And the weather was great!

I doubt many Southerners are going to make the (approx) 650 mile return trip to attend the national meeting... So the 9th would be a good day to have the Poole park meeting...

Agree with you there James! What with Fuel costs alone in the region of £120.00 plus all the other expense making it close to £200.00 counts me out financially for sure!

Poole for me makes it a pleasurable, reasonably affordable day out.....

The "Mezza Luna" is now renamed as "seven's Boatshed" and the postcode is BH15 2SF. Today I called in and failed in getting a discount; so Sunday roast would be sirlion of beef ... £13. or choice of chicken, lamb shank or pork for £10. Alternately *Wetherspoons do a great roast for around £6. *This is a ten minute walk along the shoreline so our cars can be left in the park free of charge.
As to the date, it's near impossible to suit everyone so I think the 9th Sept. is on. We will of course raise our glasses to those at the National meet. To this end I have tentatively `booked us in.' Maybe coffee in the boatshed then a roast dinner at Wetherspoons as they serve all day. So finally; Sunday 9th Sept at 12 noon. Poole Park BH15 2SF. We would need to pre-book at the boatshed whereas no such requirement at Wetherspoons.
OK I look forward to seeing some familiar faces in the park and catching up on the chat front. Mike.

Thanks Mike, much appreciated.

I agree with the idea of the 'Boatshed' for refreshments and Lunch at Weatherspoons....

See you there!

Last time I went into the Mezza Luna the bloke with the silly facial hair refused to serve me coffee and pointed me in the direction of the kiosk 200 yards away...

The management didn't deserve any custom..
