Default Experienced mechanics in the area

I live in Warminster and have just bought a ZT-T CDTi from a dealer that is experiencing a few issues. In two months of ownership the car has spent 4 weeks in the workshop used by the dealer having bits fixed. It's about to go back again for further work, but I would be keen in finding where the experienced garages are in the surrounding area in case I can't keep on top of it with my amateur skills.

Contact Lates in Rugby, see www.lates600.com might be a bit of a trek but you will find no one better to work on your car. Many forum members trust their cars to him.

Hi. Quite a few people come from Belgium/Holland/France to LATES600, and run it with their holiday plans in England. What more recommendation do you need.

Hi

Can we ask what problems the car is having? There are some very knowledgeable guys on here and there is always someone to point you into the right direction. I am sure between us all on here, we will have covered every problem come arcoss and will be able to advise accordingly

John

Where do I start ? It all started with wet footwells and an ineffective handbrake (don't know how they managed to get it through the MoT) as soon as we collected the car, and has since progressed to the clutch pedal going all the way to the floor without disengaging, a charge failure and subsequently battery low fault warnings.

I don't think much of the outfit the dealers use as their workshop (their "courtesy car" also leaves a lot to be desired), and the warranty hasn't even been requested by the dealership - my wife has spoken to the AA to check.

We've had issues with a car in the past and managed to hand it back for a full refund from another dealer, but these guys don't seem keen to accept that. Trading Standards seem to think we'd be quite within our rights to do that but I rather like the car...
