Usual culprit is the waterpump bearing collapsing!
Been there and had that Mat, but our OP replaced the water pump just under a year ago.

Finally tackled the handbrake compensator after an MOT fail yesterday. Took out 18mm of space between the two halves and OMG what a difference! I always knew the handbrake was pretty poor but hadn't realised just how bad it had become (despite setting it all up correctly at the wheels). Hopefully should all get the OK when it goes back in on Monday

No prizes for guessing what I'm doing, again! Not even 12 months since I did it last time

Some before and after pics........

After 3 coats of dye

Before

Same again, 3 coats

I reckon another couple of coats and then 2 coats of lacquer/sealant and hopefully it'll last longer this time. To be fair I don't think I sealed it enough last year.

Default What I did with my ZT-T today

Took my son and his (actually my) bike to Clapham to the B.H.F London to Brighton bike ride, then down to Brighton to pick a very weary and slightly sunburnt son up again. 228 miles and according to the trip thingy 37.6 mpg, on a mixture of Motorway/dual carriageway and slow A and B roads, not too bad I don't think?

Front top mounts, drop links and ARB bushes. Did the rears last week. No more knocking and it handles much better too.

Adjusted the tracking a little too. Only guess work but it holds a straight line better and the steering wheel is centred properly.
