In respect of the Sub...my existing set-up utilises 2 phono's (Black and Red)...as far as I can tell the Android unit supplied adapter cable has only 1 phono Sub input???
Subwoofers are only mono and a sub amp would usually only need the one phono.
I would guess you have a stereo amp that has been bridged into mono to drive your sub
You can put a splitter on it or just use one plug or if your not amping up the other channels just use either the front or rear audio out phono's which will have two sockets

My Sub is a Halfords Special - Edge EDB10

If I were to just use one plug, would it matter which (Black or Red)?

It wouldn't matter......but!
If the music recorded had the bass line on only one channel and it wasn't the one you had plugged in then you would have no bass.
What you need in that case is a phono splitter/combiner with one male phono and two females to allow you to connect both into the one socket.

They come in two types like these, either would do but the cable ones are better.

Halfords or a Maplins would certainly have them or I could send you one if you can wait a few days

You could as I previously mention use the front or rear phono outs instead but you won't be able to control the sub out volume and frequency independently of the other channels.

Hope that makes sense

If memory serves, I think the guy who fitted my Sub took a feed from the Rear's...if so, would it be simply a case of connecting to the RLeft and RRight Outs?

Correct, that will work but the new android has a sub out control section in the dsp sound settings.
You wouldn't be able to use that but you never had it on your WinCE unit either

Thanks Jeff...you've been most helpful and ever patient! I shall 'have a play' in the morrow!

As an aside, this really is 'Plug and Play' isn't it? Just a little thought (and incredible Forum support) means any numpty can do it!!!!

It's all good fun and there's always the sense of achievement when it's all done and up and running.
I think you will be surprised how much the sound quality is improved as well.
Last hint of the day...Go into the sound settings then into dsp and untick 3D which is a sort of surround mode that does nothing for the sound and best left switched off

I found that earlier and did so immediately Sir!

I must say, the Radio performance (once I'd sorted the aerial connector) was a tad disappointing...I thought the WinCE was excellent after I'd connected it properly!
