Unhappy Automatic Temperature Control

Good morning campers (not so good here in Scotland its rainning cats and dogs)
I was out in my 75 CDTI this morning and had an unhappy experience with my Climate Control.I switched the ATC to Auto, got little response from the air con and the air recyling light did not come on.Ithen switched to Econ mode and tried to bring the fans up manually they wer only running about medium speed when they should have been full on,they then went up to full speed fr about a couple of seconds and fell back to low speed.
When I got home I plugged in My Sykes Pickavant ACR code reader to see if any fault codes had registered,no such luck. I also have the facillity to drive the fans with this unit and they were fine on low speed, however not running properly on medium and high.
Has anyonr had a similar problem,if so what was the fix.My view is that it could be anything from the ATC panel to the fans or relay box.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'll need to search as I don't have the link handy but there is a built-in diagnostic for the ATC that might be useful to run?

Default Automatic Temperature Control

Thanks Christopher I have tried running the Auto diagnostics check but that does not work for some reason.Looks like trouble at the Mill.

Looks like the ATC might be to blaim them - spare ones off ebay are not too dear if I recall well. Good luck!
