Refitting road wheels
I have been driving/servicing for well nigh 70 years. I now find refitting my road wheels an absolute pain in both neck and back; Old age contributes to this. Does anyone out there have any tips on how to do this painlessly. I do have a spigot type thing that you screw into wheel bolt holes but you still have to get the spigot and wheel lined up.

I always use two spigots as I find that easier to get the holes lined up. |

I use the tyre nut lever to lift the tyre onto the spigot ( I have one for the same reason). Old age does not help. Especially when you have spent six hours up the allotment.

I bought some threaded spigots off ebay for mine. Can't remember what they were called, but sold specifically for the job of refitting the wheels. Makes life much easier.

Search 'stud alignment pin' on the bay of E or Google. I'm buying a pair myself.
