Morning, last night was fun! Just going to bed got an unbelievably sharp pain in the guts and feeling a bit queasy. Spent nearly two hours in the loo with what seemed like the world coming out of both ends, sweating, headache! Don't know if it was something I ate or a bug, suspect a bug as according to the NHS website that's the symptoms of Norovirus. Things seem to have settled down but feeling weak.

Good morning Steve, It’s vital you replace lost fluids, as both ends loss is debilitating and ghastly for you and your diabetes. Starting with an anti-emetic to stop you vomiting and help you to keep down fluids. Clearly a bug your body wants to get rid of. Living in Africa I have had food poisoning many times over the years, gone to A&E, been rehydrated for several hours with I/V fluids and an injection for vomiting, then sent home to recuperate. Not all Gastrointestinal bugs are Novo Virus in origin Hopefully yours will be a 24 hour bug and you can get back to rude health. If in doubt, get yourself checked out in A&E.

I think its just a short term thing Phil. Other than last night there hasn't been any repeat. Bit hungry now but wary about eating anything in case it starts again, maybe something light later.

Feeling hungry and not nauseous is a good sign Steve, positive news

Afternoon from a dull, cool and wet Newcastle. Watching the Great North Run on TV, it was bright sunny and warm earlier, but it’s sharp changed.

Now suspect my body decided something I ate was dodgy and wanted rid of it Had toast earlier and feel OK. Not taking any chances though, I'll eat light for the rest of the day. Anybody want the two Greggs sausage rolls I've got in the fridge?

Send em down here Steve My daughter doesn't take after me on the 'dodgy plumbing' front, she had Singapore noodles for breakfast (left over from last night takeaway) and some other weird stuff. curiosity got the better of me to have a taste Holy Batpants My mouth is on fire & my stomach is rumbling & complaining like heck, even the cats can hear it & come to see what it is lol.
Faggots mash & cabbage for tea for me tonight, only spice on that is salt n pepper.
