Due to age and eyesight, I have decided to sell my Rover 75 Connoisseur, I have not used the car as much as I had hoped, and have spent more time replacing parts and carrying out various jobs more than actually driving the car.
The only job I never got round to doing was the offside rear wheel arch where someone must have turned in the road and scuffed it, that is why there is a strip of tape over it.
I am hoping someone will purchase the car and use it and get some enjoyment out of it. Below is a full list of jobs the car has had done, mostly carried out by myself.

I purchased the car in July 2019, it is Taxed & MOT until June 2024.

The Service History in the book goes up to 2017, since then, any servicing has always been carried out by myself.

They include the following:

August 2019:

New Bosch Battery fitted.

Pair of Bosch Super Plus Wiper Blades fitted.

2 New Key Fobs.

Windscreen Trim had to be re-fitted as someone had not done it properly. Also drivers door trim had to be re-fitted for the same reason.

Inside Sills, Doors, Holes & Cavities treated with rust prevention.

Changed Oil, Castrol Magnatec

Replaced Oil Filter with Genuine Rover 75 Oil Filter

New set of NGK Spark Plugs fitted.

Front Brake Discs & Pads fitted.

Rear Brake Discs & Pads fitted and Handbrake Shoes.

September 2019:

Front pair of Anti-Roll Bars fitted.

New Lower Engine Mounting Bush fitted.

Replaced Engine Under Tray Clips.

Exhaust Tail Pipes Corrected as wrong way up.

Under Body Rust Corrosion Treatment / Underseal.

New Clutch Pedal Rubber fitted.

New Jacking Point Pad fitted.

New Car Mats fitted.

Twin Auxiliary Lighter Socket fitted.

Gear Knob taken off and refitted better.

Headlights polished up.

Lubricated All Joint Hinges.

Cleaned Air Flow Sensor & Inlet.

Anti Corrosion Sprayed over the Engine.

Rear Tail Lights taken out and re-sealed.

Replaced board in the boot with 3/8” Plywood.

November 2019:

Timing Belt and Water Pump Replacement at Service4Service in Swanley.

Turned out it really didn’t need replacing as I had overlooked the fact one had been fitted in 2008.

I still have the Timing Belt and Water Pump that was taken off.

June 2020:

Milestone garage in Dartford carried out the following:


Replaced Both Front Suspension Arms and
Reset Tracking.


Replaced Both Rear Suspension Coil Springs.


Replaced Off Side Rear Upper Suspension Arm.




I took the wheels off the car, cleaned, re-sprayed and lacquered.


Also 3 Brand New Rims Purchased from Italy, due to the Ys being so hard to find. These 3 rims are still in their boxes in the shed.Attachment 89370Attachment 89370

May June 2022:


Thermostat Replaced.


Roof rubbed down and re- sprayed.




May 2023:


Both Wing Mirrors replaced and Switch for Wing Mirrors Cleaned.


Number Plate Light re-soldered wires on Printed Circuit.
New Bulbs fitted.




Driver’s side Front Spring Replaced


Passenger’s side Front Spring Replaced




February 2024:


Pair of Bosch Super Plus Wiper Blades fitted
