Default V8 MAF cleaning

Ive posted the question on the two-sixties as it hasnt been asked before, but realise there is a pool of knowledge on here that may not visit the two-sixties site.
So, given that cleaning the MAF on the CDTi can make such a difference, and the MAF on th V8 can suffer from dead fly particles, contaminated water particles, and oild from K+N type air filters, is there any benefit to be gained from givin the MAF a "CAREFUL" clean.

scooter said on the two-sixities not too, for the simple reason of damaging it.

Hi Pete, I know Scooter has replied and realise he is a font of knowledge, but wanted to throw the question open to a wider pool of knowledge, as I have stated in one of my posts, a google on Mustang MAF cleaning would suggest it may be beneficial.
thanks
