Default Noisy doorpins 'masterclass' anyone?

My only remaining sources of annoying noise are the 2 front door pins which buzz under acceleration.

I believe someone on here managed to sort theirs out. Any chance of a how to?

thanks

It's a doorcard off job and wrap the pin in foam to stop it rattling. Someone will be along with details.

On my previous 75 I cured the rattle from the doorpins by slipping a length of electrical "shrink wrap", [purchased from Maplin Electronics] over the doorpins and pushing it down into the doorcard.
It saves taking the doorcards off and in my case worked a treat..

Couldnt get my head around this one at first, i was thinking you were talking about the pins on the hinges, i thought you had some very good hearing ! then i realised you mean the door lock pins !!!!!!

i need to do one of mine, the heatshrink trick sounds easier.

A small sliver of sponge foam pushed down round the pin solved mine, suggested on here, I believe. I cut some from the foam bit of a kitchen scourer.

I did take the chrome surround off to do it, BTW.

Dead easy, lock the doors as they normally only rattle when unlocked!

My drivers door one 'buzzes' quite loudly when you accelerate through 2000rpm. Especially when its locked

Just a couple of temporary tests, but squeezing just a small amount of heatshrink over the heads of the pins stops the buzzing in its tracks. Need the next size up to do it properly, as it took a lot of effort to squeeze it on here (without any heat applied obviously)

Have never used heatshrink before, how much will it 'shrink' as a percentage?

I had this problem, i stuck a square peace of foam to the inside of the door card, and when the door card is replaced it puts pressure on the pin and stops it rattling,
