I bought a complete subframe, with all arms etc attached from the same supplier. Immaculate condition and it put the one i was replacing to shame. Courier charge was £60 to Scotland, which when added to the £200 or so purchase price, was still a bargain. I painted mine also (2 coats of hammerite) but have noticed rust spots after just 6 months on the car!

Maybe the black paint was already bubbling up in places before you put the Hammerite on.

I always cover hammerite with a coat of (self healing) waxoyl or bilt hamner clear wax when used underneath the car. Hammerite aint what it used to be! (But what is when H&S have finished taking all the goodness out!)

Told you so:-
