I'm sorry, but I disagree, there is every point. You may think that by not voting you are not responsible for electing whichever shower we finish up with, but look at it another way.

In reality, you have given them your vote, because you did nothing to stop them getting in. It's no good saying that they're all as bad as each other, because no matter how many people vote or don't vote, someone WILL get in.

By not voting therefore, you have in fact as good as voted for the lot that did get in.

Rant over

One of the Not so unsurprising, but worrying things with the other parties ignoring the subject, happened in the Welsh elections.
The BNP had a record Vote for the UK and were only 2000 votes short of getting a MP in the Welsh Assembly/Parliament.

At the next elections with no overall control in Welsh Parliament they could well hold the Balance of Power!!!

Correct, John Prescott is the man at the top, in fact he's the whole labour party...
Or at least a large part of it.

Did he just eat the labour party, with the obvious exception of Gordon Brown, who is just too hard to swallow!

I want to vote, but there is no one worth voting for!!

The other annoance is you can;t vote for your PM of choice, as you vote for your local MP. Local politics are different to who you want to run the country.

Perhaps voting should be mandatory, and have an "Abstain" option

I always vote for the policy - not the personality, because as everyone has so eloquently put it, all of the main players in all of the parties are t***ers, however, the backroom johnnies who actually do things rather than pontificate, are the ones who make a difference, how bad the difference is, depends on how bad the policies are.

Let's be honest here, altruism and honesty are long gone from politics.

Oh by the way..

Did your here the one about the honest politician?

No....

Niether did anyone else.

So do you feel less guilty when a shower you didn't like gets in? when your vote could have made the difference.

As I said earlier honesty and integrity within British politics, are now deeply hidden in history (Take the FOI Bill!!), however, we as victims of these peoples greed and stupidity, have to try to get the best for ourselves. This can only be achieved by making a vote.

I don't hate politics - I hate the people it attracts!!
