Thanks Dave, but I’m getting involved in so many things I’d no expectation of that I’m starting to get paranoid about wrecking everything… which plastic piece? I’ve had to trim bits away on either side (coloured red), and also removed the rear bracket (also red) but do you mean another plastic piece at the rear? Quote:
Ummm… do you mean the two steel lugs that the self-tappers go through?

You Bought a Used D95 Dynavin from somebody else (according to past PM's from you) and we tried to help you fit it too, even though you didnt buy from us. ! Its not even the same model or maker Thats like saying Rover 75's , all break down ! Please refrain from making untrue comments which only serve to confuse more. if you want to comment on the D95 that you bought , Please do so on another thread. |

Cut away the above as a last resort, try everything else first. As for the lugs, they are marked in blue. These are the ones you should not apply too much pressure. Dave T |

I am about to embark on the great journey of placing an Android unit myself. But I have to say the inner space of the center console you have pictured looks different from mine. Although I have a ZT I expect them to be almost identical in this respect. I don't have the plastic part and can see the steel bar that is probably behind the plastic part. Question: Do you have an MK1 or an MK2? Mine is MK2 which might explain the difference. Greetz, Sjonnie

Mine's a facelift (2004), so I guess Mk 2...

Hi Hogweed,
Thanks for your reply. I will definitely have to get myself a second look at the space in the center console than because I most certainly can't remember the plastic thingy. Greetz, Sjonnie

I also had the problems with getting it flush with the dash. Even wit Coolcats advise it's still sticking out. I checked the wires, wiggled them, removed the bracket and mounted the unit many, many times. Every time it's not flush at the top and almost at the bottom.
Weirdly enough, I've got a gap of about 4mm on the left and 0mm on the right....

Do you have the same plastic thingy that is shown in the pictures above? I am pretty sure I don't have the thingy. Might explain the lack of room you are experiencing. Greetz, Sjonnie

Not really sure, It kinda looks like it but it's not precisely the same I think:
But I don't get why it matters. I've been looking at fitting the radio several times, the radio itself is only 1-din height and will slide in the top of the hole, it won't touch the plastic part that also had the bracket.
