Default "not find navigation software" message

Hi guys
Apologies if this has already been covered but I couldn't find anything with a forum search.
My satnav is coming up with "not find navigation software" in a little box midscreen. I've taken the wee card out and back in several times but to no avail. (You'll have guessed that I'm a dinosaur when it comes to these things!)

It was working perfectly.

I've gone into Navigation Setup and the navigation Software Path is
\StorageCard\iGO8\iGO8.exe
I then get to the screen with Storage card which when I OK shows Backup and IGO8 but when I put either of them into the box, no files are shown.
Any thoughts?
Cheers
Jim

I think you should remove the "\iGo8.exe" and try again.

Mine exactly the same. So how do you remove and replace?

Thanks for the suggestions!
Jeff, I've already watched your very helpful videos. In the old menu I get as far as the blue file screen 24 seconds into your first video where you show the list of files dropping down. I don't have any files there apart from two apparently empty folders "Backup and IGO8".

Sjonnie, I can't see any way to remove or delete these.

Thanks again for your interest!
Cheers

Have you removed the navigation card and re inserted it?
Worth a try in case the reader isn't picking the card up.
Also might be worth trying a reset before trying the install procedure again.
There is a recessed reset button on the unit, push this in gently with a paper clip when the unit is powered up.
Then try the re install again

Weird! Although I had only a short period of time enjoying my WinCE (upgraded to Android so took the WinCE out) I have done some tinkering.

I changed the path to the software by browsing the SD card and select the folder Igo384. Pressed OK (did not go into the folder itself) and presto! Software was up and running as it should.

It could be I misinterpreted your problem/question but it should be as simple as what I described above.

Also you may want to check the SD Card on your computer , Sometimes they get damaged or fail. Make sure the folders and files are actually there

If all else fails , disconnect from the Power completly (Usually means disconnect car's battery cables and let it set for 4 hours. This clears the cache and reverts the Firmware to factory

Hi Sean.
First of all I did a reboot (paperclip in the wee hole) but still the same result. I then took the card and tried it in my computer as you suggested to find that both iGO8 and Backup folders are EMPTY. There is a device.nng file (1k) that I haven't touched.
So mystery solved.
How best can I fix this? Another card?
Thanks
Jim
